Dr. Shad earned the degree of Doctor of Chiropractic from Southern California University of Health Sciences, 1993, specializing in spinal disorders and sports injuries. Dr. Shad is also certified in Manipulation Under Anesthesia and Receptor-tonus techniques. Previously, Dr. Shad was the chiropractor / trainer for Orange County Zodiac’s soccer team (2nd division of MLS). As a business owner since 1994, Dr. Shad’s primary goal is to promote Non-Surgical Decompression therapy and using holistic techniques to initiate healing process.

Dr. Jason Kajbaf is double board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Kajbaf earned his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences and completed a Medicine Internship at UC Riverside. He then pursued his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at UCLA, where he was invited to remain for an additional year to complete a fellowship in Interventional Spine & Pain Medicine. Throughout his training, Dr. Kajbaf developed a deep passion for treating musculoskeletal, spine, and chronic pain conditions. He is dedicated to providing individualized care, offering the full spectrum of treatment options—from conservative and rehabilitative therapies to interventional and minimally invasive procedures—tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Kajbaf enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and cheering on all Los Angeles sports teams. Physical Therapist

As a physical therapist, Shiao-Lan does not see separate issues relating to only one body part without relation to the rest of the body. Although a specific portion of the body may be the most obviously injured or restricted in its motion, other aspects of the body’s functioning are also immediately impacted, causing the formation of a specific compensatory pattern. The compensating pattern can result in limited recovery in the original area as well as possible future injury in the supporting area. Physical therapy achieves the highest success when treatment is focused on the restoration of the strength/muscle tone balance between the muscle groups, the coordination of the movement, and the elimination of compensatory patterns. Shiao-Lan usually uses all possible tools such as manual therapy, scraping, Yoga, traditional martial arts, and etc. according to patient’s individual situation to maximize the benefits of the therapy.

Dr. Afzaal Iqbal, MD

Pain Management

Dr. Iqbal is double board-certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine through the American Board of Anesthesiology. He completed his undergraduate training at Emory University, majoring in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology. He then went on to obtain his medical degree from Stony Brook School of Medicine. From there, he completed his ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency and pain fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He has presented at national meetings, published book chapters, partakes in clinical trials and stays up-to-date with the latest treatment technologies and algorithms. Dr. Iqbal particularly specializes in the utilization of the latest minimally invasive needle-based and surgical treatments to treat conditions such as cervical and lumbar radiculopathy, neuropathy, peripheral neuralgias, cancer pain, complex regional pain syndrome and post surgical pain. He is one of the few pain physicians in Orange County skilled in complex pain interventions including spinal DRG and peripheral nerve stimulation, revision surgical pump management, minimally invasive spinal/SI joint fusions and ablation/neurolysis of difficult neural targets. As such, he is frequently sought out by patients who have failed traditional treatments. He additionally uses judicious pharmaceutical therapy with a goal to help the body decrease its dependence on strong pain medications. Further, he is a strong believer in the importance of psychological and behavioral therapy along with lifestyle modification to address the commonly untreated aspects of pain that are equally, if not more, important than procedural and pharmaceutical treatments for long-term healing. Dr. Iqbal works tirelessly to provide exceptional, personalized care and establish meaningful, lasting relationships with his patients.
